Short Answer Responses

Choose FIVE of the following ten questions to answer in short answer responses (SARs). Cite specific examples from the short stories in your answers:

7. What does “Birds of Paradise” tell us about the ways in which our own personal style can impact others?

9. In “The Bloody Bay,” was Sheets justified in taking a dead man’s boots? Why or why not?
10. Which story made the biggest impact on you? Why?

Notes: 

• All stories are located in the eReader inside Lit Pack 1 and Lit Pack 2. 
• It is not necessary to answer questions in numerical order, but PLEASE clearly indicate which question you are answering—SARs that aren't numbered will not be graded.
• Read the questions carefully to decide if and when to write in first person.
• Respond to all questions using the SAR outline we discussed in class.
  
• Remember, when writing about fiction, you should always write in the present tense.
